Fusion of SGTV and STS – the website is currently under construction

The Swiss Society for Traumatology and Insurance Medicine (SGTV) and the Swiss Trama Society (STS) approved the merger at their respective general meetings in October 2025. At a joint merger meeting, they officially launched their future as the unified Swiss Trauma Society (STS).

Sub-speciality programme “Specialised Traumatology”

As of 01.01.2024, the new interdisciplinary sub-speciality programme “Specialised Traumatology” of the two professional societies, the Swiss Society of Surgery (SGC) and the Swiss Society of Orthopaedics and Traumatology of the Musculoskeletal System (swiss orthopaedics) came into effect. As part of these changes, special transitional provisions will apply to current sub-speciality programme candidates until 30.06.2026.
