From SGACT to Swiss Trauma Society (STS)

With the name change to STS, a comprehensive amendment to the Statutes was also decided at the regular general meeting of the SGACT on 06.09.2023 in Biel. These changes came into effect on 01.01.2024.

Sub-speciality programme “Specialised Traumatology”

As of 01.01.2024, the new interdisciplinary sub-speciality programme “Specialised Traumatology” of the two professional societies, the Swiss Society of Surgery (SGC) and the Swiss Society of Orthopaedics and Traumatology of the Musculoskeletal System (swiss orthopaedics) came into effect. As part of these changes, special transitional provisions will apply to current sub-speciality programme candidates until 30.06.2026.
